Had to create images for class anyway so I thought I'd make a quick post
This image was the enforcer character, all buffed out in armor. As I've been working, I'm appreciating more and more the things stylized artists do to push design language and visual understanding. I'm now pushing for a strong, rugged character design through emphasis on dynamic design. Those contrasts in thick and thin form really sell characters, so I definitely want to push for it myself.
This was the first step toward that. My professor also asked me to focus on the leg and back forms to really push forms through the design for a stronger silhouette. Next update will reflect those changes.
These are the dinos and their progress. I'm still lost on the Raptor feathers and styracosaur skin. But the two I more recently started have gone along quite well. The Rex and "Lucy" the adolescent Saurotitan are my favorite of the 4
A few weapon props that I started for the characters. Cleaner meshes will be finished later after the characters are done. Worst case, I use these decimated in UE4. But I have budgeted time next semester to finish them out.
Unrelated to thesis, I did a quick sketch of Jennifer Lawrence. The hair is crap, but I only gave myself a half hour for it all..
